Booking:

Once placing a booking with us (Northumberland Luxury Ltd) you are entering into a short term letting agreement for the duration of your holiday. The holiday will not be secured until you have paid the 30% deposit.

You will then have up until 4 weeks before your holiday is due to commence to settle your account. You may wish to pay sooner or by part payments if preferred. If your holiday has not been paid in full by the due date. Northumberland Luxury Ltd have the right to cancel the booking and make the dates available to re-book.

Cancellation for non payment of balance:

If the balance of your holiday has not been fully paid by the due date then the booking will be cancelled. The booking will be deemed cancelled by you, ‘the guest’ as the guest has chosen not to continue with their booking. Any deposit or payments made will be non refundable.

Cancellation or Changes by the Guest:

Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been paid. You, ‘the Guest’ have now entered a short term letting agreement for the duration of your holiday. If the Guest wishes to cancel. For whatever reason (including medical and weather related) then no refund of the deposit will be due. If the property can not be re-let due to the short notice given by the guest, please see the guide below.

If a Guest wishes to cancel their booking they should e-mail Northumberland Luxury Ltd using the contact form below.

Northumberland Luxury will endeavor to re-let the property, In the event that the property is re-let, for the cancelled period, Northumberland Luxury will refund the amount paid subject to an admin fee of £75.

In the event the cancelled period is re-let

If the property is re-let for a reduced amount, the reduced amount will be refunded.

Should the cancellation be due to Government Covid 19 restrictions

The guest will receive a full refund less a £75 administration cost should the Government request Covid 19 restrictions.

Booking through 3rd party websites: 

If your booking was made through a 3rd party website then the agreed terms & conditions and cancellation policy of that website will apply to your booking.

Days before & including Arrival date:  All cancellations – no refund of deposit

8 days before your holiday is due to commence – deposit lost – full refund of balance – less £75 administration

7 days or less before your holiday is due to commence – deposit lost – 50% of balance refunded – less £75 admin

No show – 100% non-refundable

Travel Insurance:

We recommended and expect that the Guest will have or will take out a holiday insurance policy. Which includes cancellation insurance covering sickness and unavoidable reasons for cancellation prior to their stay.

If no other travel insurance has been taken out and the Guest is not eligible for a refund. Then the Guest accepts responsibility for any losses that they may incur as a result of cancelling the holiday.

 

Booking cancelled by Northumberland Luxury Ltd:

If for any reason it proves necessary for Northumberland Luxury Ltd to make a change in the Guests holiday booking. For example, by reason of the decision to withdraw the property or by some other reason. We will endeavor to transfer the booking to alternative date or another accommodation owned by us. Only on failing this will we refund to the Customer all monies paid.

If cancellation is necessary due to factors outside of Northumberland Luxury’s control. For example but not limited to Government statute recommendation or guidance. The Guest will receive a full refund. Northumberland Luxury Ltd shall not be under any further obligation or liability in this respect.
